Jean Jacket

Good morning! Happy Thursday!

Yesterday I wore a really cute but casual outfit. A longer sweater with leggings, a jean jacket, and booties.

I've been wanting to get a light wash denim jacket for a while, and I found one at TJ Maxx. Of course I had to buy it! Best part: it was 25 bucks! Jean jackets can be worn casually or you can glam it up. So versatile! :)

Now I have to post 11 facts about myself, answer the 11 questions Jessica asked me, nominate other bloggers, and ask them 11 questions. Let's get started!

11 Facts About Me

1. I don't like to brag, but I am a really good whistler. Like really good.
2. Ever since I was a toddler, I LOVE to shop. My mom would take me with her to the mall, in my stroller, and I would just have a ball looking at everything. Some things never change :)
3. I absolutely love to travel. My favorite country that I have been to is either Croatia, France, or Italy. 
4. My favorite show that is currently on tv is Scandal on ABC. It's amazing. 
5. I am very passionate about dancing. I am on the high school dance team, and I am so happy that I joined!
6. I am terrified of birds. BUT I am working on overcoming that inconvenient fear.
7. I have super tiny hands. And my pinkies are abnormally tiny, even compared to my hands. 
8. I am an extreme introvert. I don't like big social settings, and I don't really like parties. Is that weird?
9. I love to RipStik, and I'm pretty good at it too! :)
10. My family is very musical. We all love to sing, play piano and guitar, listen to music, and all that stuff. We sing a lot of show tunes...
11. I am not a big fan of meat. I'm not a vegetarian, I just don't like it very much.

1. If you could make one thing in this world happen with no consequences, what would it be? (Be selfish!) I would eat whatever I want and not worry about gaining weight or my teeth falling out!
2. Name a movie you can watch over and over again. The Notebook! Except not the ending.
3. Who is your celebrity crush? Oh, too many to count! Ryan Gosling, Zac Efron, Eddie Redmayne, just to name a few. I could go on and on and on...
4. What celebrity do you dislike the most? I don't really know. Anyone from The Bachelor/ette is pretty irritating. (do they count as celebrities?)
5. If you could be anything in the world, what you be? I would be the owner of a very successful boutique in some cool city :)
6. What is your best childhood memory? Something I clearly remember is watching TeleTubbies with my older sister and brother. I was always really afraid of the baby sun, so whenever it was on the screen I would hide behind the couch!
7. If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life and not gain an ounce, what would you eat? PASTA! Any kind/variation of a pasta dish. I love me some pasta.
8. What Hogwarts house would you most like to be in? On Pottermore I'm in Gryffindor, so yeah. Gryffindor. 
9. What is your all time favorite thing in the world? Hmmmm.....probably Harry Potter. Does that count?
10. How did you meet your best friend? I don't actually have a best friend. I have some really good and close friends, but not a best friend. I've met them all from school.
11. Why did you start your blog? I've always been interested in fashion, and I loved to create outfits, so I thought it would be cool to have a place to put my daily outfits and share ideas.

Denim + Corduroy

Hi everyone! Tomorrow is Friday - YAY! 

Today I wore dark purple corduroy pants with a denim shirt. I like this color scheme, plus I like the mixture of fabrics.

Shorts + Tights

Happy Wednesday! Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I was busy over the weekend, then on Monday night, I went to Orlando, Florida! It was kind of an unplanned, unexpected trip, but I had a lot of fun. My dad and I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (I'm a huge Potterhead :)) and other areas at Universal Studios. Here are some pics from the day:

So over the weekend, my mom and I did a TJ Maxx run, and I got so many cute things! I got these amazing shorts, along with another pair of shorts, a swimsuit, a cover up, and a couple other things. I love going to TJ Maxx, because although you have to dig a little, you can find some really great stuff for affordable prices.

I wore these shorts with black tights, a black sweater, and combat boots.

I really like the edgier look of tights and shorts. Complete the look with combat boots, and you're ready to go!

Spring in the Air

Hello! It strangely feels like Spring today! It is 36 degrees and sunny (yes, 36 degrees is warm for right now). However, all the snow is melting, so there are puddles of muddy water all over the place. Not good conditions for fashionable boots.

Today I wore the other top I got from the Prabal Gurung collection at Target, along with my anorak, leggings, and combat boots.

This anorak is seriously the best purchase I have ever made. :)

I was dancing around to "Gone Gone Gone" by Phillip Phillips - such a fun song! It's on my playlist right now :) Then my dog came by, and of course I just had to take a picture with him.

If you're wondering, his name is Drake, and he is a black lab. He's so cute, except he looks angry in this picture. It doesn't have anything to do with me forcing him to let me kiss him though, psh.

Flowers in the Snow

Happy Monday! Did everyone have a good day? 

I am starting to get Spring Fever, so today I wore my new Prabal Gurung floral top. It is so bright and colorful and I love it. :)

I wore it with this little black blouse by International Concepts. I think the "ruffles" on the blouse (not sure if you can really see them) go with the bright floral pattern really well, and make this outfit very feminine and fun.

I also tried some red lipstick to tie in the whole flirty look.

As you can see, it is very snowy here in Minnesota. But I wanted to wear the shirt without the blouse, so I took it off.

Then I died from frost bite. I danced around to try to warm me up, but it didn't work too well. That brought my photo shoot to an end.

It's really ironic that I'm wearing a bright, floral tank top in the snow, but hey, it's cute. Anyway, I hope you had a good day, and I'll probably have a post tomorrow evening! In the meantime, check out my instagram: poshgirlfashionista :)
