Christmas Time

Hi! Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Christmas is just around the corner, and I am so excited! The best time of the year!!

Country Girl

Hello! Today was a great day! After school, my friends and I went out for a late lunch and exchanged gifts for Christmas. It was so much fun!

Today I wore a dress with a denim shirt, plus black tights and vintage cowboy boots. The dress is from American Eagle. I really love the look of this - it's girly and kind of country. The denim shirt is from Forever 21.

I am in love with these boots. They are very old and from Montana. 

I really like rings too. I have a lot of them, but sometimes they irritate my fingers :( And of course, red polish for the holidays!

I got this necklace for my birthday. It's from Love Culture, and it has the Eiffel Tower on it, plus a small key and a pearl.

Tomorrow is my last day of school, then I am off for two full weeks! I can't wait for break. We have a lot of fun things planned. Do you have any cool plans? Going anywhere fun? Let me know!

My Routine

Hi everybody! Today I am going to explain my routine for picking my daily outfit. Getting into the habit of a routine has really helped me be less stressed in the morning and kind of cool down before bed!

So after I finish my homework and everything I need to do, I usually go to my room, turn on some music, and just stand in my closet. I think of the weather for tomorrow, anything special going on, and I create an outfit. I try it on, change it up if it's not right, and then lay it out so it's all ready to go in the morning.

Before creating this routine, I would be so stressed in the morning and be rushing. That was not a good start to the day! So by doing this, it relaxes me and calms me down before bed. Plus, I don't have to worry about what I'm going to wear in the morning. If you don't have a routine like this, I suggest you try one. It REALLY helps! 

Another thing I do is take a simple picture of my outfit. I save it in an album on my phone, so if I ever need inspiration or ideas, I can look in there. I've got about 40 outfits in there!

So if anyone has issues in the morning with clothes, try this out! Mornings are SO much easier for me now. Do any of you have any special routines for planning an outfit? Let me know - I'd love to hear from you!

"Flowy" Dress

Happy Monday! Today was pretty busy, didn't have much time for blogging! I wore a looser, more flowy, dress with leggings and boots. The dress is navy blue with small white dots. I got this dress at TJ Maxx, and it's one of my favorites! I love how it isn't so tight - it's definitely a different look. If you don't shop at TJ Maxx, I suggest you visit there. It has some really fashionable things at affordable prices. SUCH a great store!

Please mind the mess of my bedroom!

Although I didn't wear this faux leather jacket to school, I added it just for fun. A great jacket from Delia's that is perfect for going out!

Permit!

Hi! So I've been 15 since November 6, and I finally found the time (and the courage) to go to the driving school and get my permit! I was so worried that I wouldn't pass. I was shaking during the entire test. But luckily, I just barely passed, and now I can drive with a parent in the car! Yay!

Tomorrow my dance team has another competition, so I might not be able to post. And on Sunday, my friends and I are doing a little gift exchange and going out to eat, so that should be fun!

And finally, my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families of the elementary school shooting in Connecticut. This is a horrible tragedy; I just can't wrap my head around it. Please keep them in your prayers.

Floral Skirt

Hello all! I'm sorry I haven't posted the past few days. The middle of the week gets a bit busy, so it's hard to find time to do some blogging! Today I got kind of creative. I have this adorable floral dress, but I couldn't find a cardigan to go over it. So I turned it into a skirt, tucked it into a black sweater, and added a belt!

I also wore some basic black tights, a cute medium-length necklace, and some black combat boots.

The sweater and belt are from Francesca's; dress from Wet Seal.

I really like this dress/skirt. It has a little bit of the high-low style going on. I love the purple/gray/white color scheme as well.

Let It Snow

And it finally snowed. Big time. Unfortunately, my school NEVER has snow days, so we had to go to school, regardless of the single digit temperature and 15 inches of snow.

Today I wore a big sweater, scarf, and jeans. But when I went outside to take pictures, I didn't have the guts to take off my coat, so I guess we'll save that outfit for another day!

The first snow is always the prettiest. I'm definitely in the holiday spirit! :)

LOVE these boots. They are stylish, comfortable, warm, and help me to not wipe out on the road! They've got the whole package!

Dance :)

Hello all! Did you have a good Saturday? Well today I had to get up at 5:30 am for my first dance competition. It was a blast! I had so much fun with my team, and we all did really well. Although it was a long day, I'm excited for our next competition in a week.

My family also got our Christmas tree today. It is a family tradition to go to this drive-in that sells trees. They give out free hot chocolate, too! And when we got home my brother and I went sledding down the hill in our yard for a little while, which was also fun! Pretty good day! :)

Dance and Snow

Happy Friday! Is everyone happy it's the weekend? I sure am! My dance team had their first competition last night. It was a lot of fun and they did really well! Here are some pics from last night!

We've got another competition tomorrow. I'm very excited as it will be the first one I am dancing in. Wish us luck! 

Today it snowed! It's not much, and I'm not a big fan of snow, but it's still getting me into the holiday spirit.

Polka Dots

Hi guys! I've been very busy today - sorry this is so late. I will be pretty busy in the next couple of days, so I might not be able to post much. I'm on our high school dance team, and we have a competition on Thursday and Saturday. Also, my brother's birthday is on Friday so we will be celebrating then. Lots of stuff going on right now, but I will hopefully have another post on Sunday.

Today I wore some polka dots. I got this shirt from TJ Maxx and I absolutely love it! It was very inexpensive, and I really love the lace and pattern at the top - it adds a very feminine look.

I also really like the buttons in the back.

I wore it with this black "sweater/cardigan thingy but I don't have a real word for it." It's very light and sheer. I like how it adds more to the feminine look with the little ruffles. I'm not one for an overload of ruffles, but this has the perfect amount!

On the bottom half, I just wore my dark wash skinny jeans with these short brown boots - both from Macy's. (sweater/cardigan/jacket thing also from Macy's)

The best time to wear a striped sweater...

Hello! Today it was 20 degrees colder than yesterday. I was freezing while taking these pictures after school! A nice big coat is necessary for Minnesota winters, and mine is from Land's End. It is so comfortable and warm, stylish too!

Today I wore leggings and a long sleeve black and white striped sweater, along with my favorite necklace and those black boots I've been wearing for a few days in a row now! I just found out that my mom had these boots, so I've been wearing them a lot!

This was a bit of a focus mistake, but I think it is actually kind of cool... 

I think these geese are confused because they haven't flown south yet. They usually leave the area in October, but they're still here!
